These birds are from South America and are considered to be very hardy birds. They don’t require a big cage but will need enough room for play and healthy exercise. They love all sorts of toys and to climb. Often they enjoy hanging like bats from the ceiling of their cage. They have a sweet voice and are very good talkers.

When they are hand fed they are very tame and social pets that will become a loving member of your family. They do make a loud alarm sound when scared or startled, the rest of the time they are fairly quiet.

Diet: Cockatiel mix, no sunflower. Fruits and veggies, including apples and celery.
Bathing: Very eager bathers who enjoy a bath daily.
Nesting: Coco fiber is the nesting material of choice, also Shavings
